Charlie Plumb: The Power of Choice Keynote
Charlie Plumb is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, a former jet fighter pilot, and a combat veteran with 74 successful missions over Vietnam. In addition, he helped start the “top gun” school in Miramar, California. Captain Plumb was shot down over enemy territory on his 75th combat mission, just 5 days before he was scheduled to return home. He ejected from his F-4 Phantom Jet, parachuted into enemy hands, was taken prisoner, tortured, and survived nearly 6 years in communist prison camps.
He has returned to share his story of winning through adversity to more than 5,000 audiences in this country and around the world.

Dan Basse: Economic Insights & Outlook Keynote
Dan Basse is an economist who has been in the commodity business since 1979. Raised on a dairy/grain farm in Waukesha, Wisconsin, he earned an Ag Econ MS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1979 and has worked with Professional Farmers of America, Brock Associates and the ag research division of GNP Commodities in Chicago. In 1987, Dan founded AgResource Company, a domestic and international agricultural research firm located in Chicago, which forecasts domestic and world agricultural price trends. AgResource Co. has provided information/research to farmers, elevators, soy and corn processors, wheat millers, food companies, trading companies, importers, exporters and meat packers in 81 countries.
